Frontline Plus Description

Frontline Plus is a pet medicine used to treat flea and tick infestations in dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. This medicine contains a broad spectrum insecticide that is effective against all stages of the tick life cycle, and also targets flea eggs and larvae.
This pet medicine is available in different formulations for both cats and dogs, as listed below:
Frontline Plus for Dogs (fipronil 9.8% and S-methoprene 8.8%)
Frontline Plus for Cats (fipronil 9.8% and S-methoprene 11.8%)

Frontline Plus Directions

For dog owners:
Frontline Plus for Dogs is for use on dogs and puppies 8 weeks or older. Frontline Plus for Dogs is available as 0.67 ml applicators for use on dogs and puppies up to 22 lbs, 1.34 ml applicators for dogs 23-44 lbs, 2.68 ml applicators for dogs 45-88 lbs and 4.02 ml applicators for dogs 89-132 lbs. Wait 24 hours to fully dry before swimming or bathing. Do not reapply for 30 days.
For cat owners:
Frontline Plus for Cats is for use in cats or kittens 8 weeks or older. There is only one dose (0.5mL applicator) that applies to all cats, regardless of weight.
Place the applicator tip through the animal's hair to the skin level between the shoulder blades. Apply the entire contents of the applicator in a single spot to the animal's skin. Use only one applicator per treatment.

Frontline Plus Cautions

This product is for external use only on cats, dogs, puppies and kittens. Do not allow this medicine to come in contact with the animal’s eyes or the inside of the nose, mouth or ears.
Frontline is safe to use on breeding, pregnant or nursing (lactating) animals.
This medicine may cause injury if it comes in contact with the animal’s eyes. If this occurs, flush eyes with plenty of water and call your veterinarian.
If your pet is debilitated, aged, or being treated with a pesticide, consult with your veterinarian before using Frontline Plus.
This product is harmful to humans. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. If swallowed by a human, call a doctor or poison centre for advice. Have the person sip water. Do not induce vomiting unless instructed by a doctor.
This product is flammable. Please store in a safe place away from heat or open flame.

Frontline Plus Side Effects

Animals may experience mild irritation at the site of product application. If this does not clear up within three days, or is severe, contact your veterinarian immediately.
