What are Generics? A generic

Description
This medicine is a hormone used to treat osteoporosis that occurs after menopause.
Directions
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. This medicine comes with a patient information leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine. BEFORE THE FIRST DOSE, the pump must be activated. Hold the bottle upright and depress the 2 white side arms toward the bottle until a faint spray is seen. This needs to be done the first time only. After the first faint spray is seen, the bottle is activated and ready for use. TO USE THIS MEDICINE: Use medicine in only 1 nostril each day. Alternate nostrils every day. Place the nozzle into the nostril and depress the pump toward the bottle. Refer to the patient information leaflet for more specific instructions. It is not necessary to inhale while spraying this medicine. After taking a dose, sniff vigorously several times to prevent the medicine from running out of the nose. STORE THE UNOPENED BOTTLE in the refrigerator. After opening, the bottle may be kept at room temperature until gone (up to 30 days). Store the bottle in an upright position. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible. If you do not remember until the next day, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
Cautions
Do not stop using this medicine without checking with your doctor. For this medicine to work well, it is important to have enough calcium and vitamin D in your diet. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist about your diet or about taking calcium supplements. KEEP ALL DOCTOR AND LABORATORY APPOINTMENTS while you are using this medicine. If you sneeze after using this medicine, it is not necessary to repeat the spray. This medicine can be used even if you have a cold or a stuffy nose. IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
Side Effects
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include dry nose, stuffy nose, or runny nose. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience sores in nose, nosebleeds, or rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
