Optivar Directions
Follow the directions for using Optivar 0.05% Solution provided by your doctor. Optivar 0.05% Solution is for use in the eye only. IF YOU WEAR CONTACT LENSES, remove them before placing the drop into your eye. TO USE OPTIVAR 0.05% SOLUTION, first, wash your hands. Tilt your head back and, with your index finger, pull the lower eyelid away from the eye to form a pouch. Drop the medicine into the pouch and gently close your eyes. Remove excess medicine around your eye with a clean tissue, being careful not to touch your eye. Wash your hands to remove any medicine that may be on them. TO PREVENT GERMS from entering your medicine, do not touch the applicator tip to any surface, including your eye. STORE OPTIVAR 0.05% SOLUTION in an upright position, either in the refrigerator or at room temperature between 36 and 77 degrees F (2 and 25 degrees C), in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. Do not freeze. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF OPTIVAR 0.05% SOLUTION, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once.
