Description
This medicine is an antirheumatic agent used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Directions
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE and you are taking 1 dose daily, take the missed dose if you remember the same day. Skip the missed dose if you do not remember until the next day. DO NOT take 2 doses at once.
Cautions
THREE TO 6 MONTHS may pass before you feel the full effect of this medicine. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your doctor. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE increased sensitivity to the sun. Avoid exposure to the sun or sunlamps until you know how you react to this medicine. Use a sunscreen or protective clothing if you must be outside for a prolonged period. IF YOU NOTICE UNUSUAL BLEEDING OR IRRITATION after brushing and flossing your teeth, check with your doctor. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.
Side Effects
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include diarrhea, gas, nausea, or stomach pain. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience rash, itching, mouth sores, a metallic taste, purple blotches or other unusual skin spots, fever, cough, shortness of breath, unusual weakness, or sore throat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
