This medicine is a local anesthetic used to decrease pain and discomfort resulting from urinary tract procedures or the placement of endotracheal (airway) tubes. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Side Effects
CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience numbness that lasts for more than a few hours, dizziness, drowsiness or excitement, tremors, restlessness, changes in hearing, blurred vision, hives, rash, or itching. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
