2015 promises to be a great year for Planet Drugs Direct. 12 different charities will be benefited as a part of our “12 Months of Giving” resolution. Each month of the year a different charity will receive a donation from us as a result of our fundraising efforts! In the month of January, World Vision International is the charity that has been chosen to be a beneficiary.
Members of our staff will be able to purchase a pie for $20. However, this pie is not meant to be eaten. There is a way to dispose of this pie that is even more fun than eating it. A purchase of a pie gives you the opportunity to throw it at the face of Jordan Jones, our Marketing Manager, as well as other members of the management staff. This “pie-in-the-face” fundraiser promises to be fun for everyone involved, except those unfortunate folks having pies thrown at them. In all seriousness, the management staff is happy to have a few pies thrown at them, as long as the money collected is going to a wonderful charity such as World Vision International. And that money we have collected for World Vision International currently sits at $560!!!
What is World Vision International?
World Vision International is a Christian organization focused on advocacy, development and humanitarian aid. They were founded in 1950 and now rank as one of the world’s largest development and relief organizations. For many years, they focused on helping orphans in Somalia, Romania and Uganda who had lost their parents as a result of civil war, neglect or AIDS. They are now operating in almost 100 countries, where their work is directly benefiting over 100 million people.
